FOR AUCTION ON E-BAY
IN AID OF THE

JOCKEY HOSPITAL
(DROGHEDA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL)

(Click here to bid for autographed silks on ebay now)

THE PICTURES SHOWN HERE ARE OF A
SET OF JOCKEY'S SILKS WHICH WERE DONATED TO US FOR THE PURPOSE OF GENERATING FUNDS FOR THE JOCKEY HOSPITAL.

Mr. Dessie Hughes was asked to sign the jockey breeches and he suggested that we would need a famous set of silks. Mr. Hughes then telephoned Mr. Jim Gorman who said we could have the colours of HARDY EUSTACE.
We then got in touch with Mr Paul Hensey of the
Curragh Racecourse who agreed to allow us to ask the jockey's on Derby weekend to sign the breeches. With the help of lisa McGoldrick we took the breeches to the Curragh Racecourse where the jockeys signed them.
We would not have had so many jockeys sign without the great help from the man who stands and watches over the entry to the weighing room,
Mr. Tommy Burke, who seemed to recognise every single person who entered there that day.
With the help of Valerie Totman, who brought our email to the attention of the racecourse manager
,

Mr. John Mooney who very kindly allowed us to
Go to the Galway Races and with the help of the
Clerk of the Course, Mr. Joe Collins we will arrive
There and get the signatures of the national hunt jockeys.
When we have all the items in place we will put the colours up on Ebay for Auction.
The Irish Field have said that they would help when every thing is in place to give details on how to see the colours on Ebay and the details on what the money will go to.

My name is Peadar Byrne and I am the PRO. Of the St. Brigids C.Y.M.S. Club in Kildare Town.
The C.Y.M.S. Committee would like to thank the
Person who originally thought up the idea of doing this for the jockey Hospital.

Neil Callan (last years champion jockey on all weather ) one of the top jockey's and an ex C.Y.M.S. member to see if he would get the names of jockey's on a set of breeches.Which he very kindly did .So thank you every one for all the help you gave - Peadar Byrne
