The Carmelites first came to Kildare in 1292 at the invitation of Lord William
de Vesci.
Fr Nicholas Staples O Carm began work on the present church in 1884. The
architect was William Hague of the Pugin School and the builder was John
Harris, Monastrevan.
MASSES:
Sundays and holy days (7pm evenings) 10-30am,
12 noon.
Week days 8am, 10 am
Tuesday 7-30pm perpetual novena mass- St Jude, St Anthony,
St Therese and prayers for the beatification of Ven. Matt Talbot.
Friday, first Friday: Eucharistic adoration after 10am mass
7-30pm mass for the sick with anointing.
Second Friday: Cenacle of the Marian movement 7-30pm
Saturday: 7.Oopm first mass of Sunday.
Other masses are added from time to time for special occasions.
